I changed the last two examples in Lesson 3 of Chapter 1. This is because the old examples used rational numbers, which aren't introduced until Chapter 2. When I created the new questions I didn't create any two variables problems because it might confuse students, since they have not learned order of operations yet.
What about negative exponents and their properties?
Or will that have a section after the order of operations lesson?
